Dear Lita,

I could not help but make this immediate reply, despite many other post-homecoming activities and other things and items still to attend to - to finally wrap up everything to its last leaf/page, so to speak (not to mention the Alumni Ass. concerns of mine as well). I am specifically referring to a particular inquiry you forwarded, as well as other matters that need immediate answers and updates/response correspondingly, for the benefit of all concerned.

1) Yes, we are coming out with a comprehensive, all encompassing video of the entire celebration from the Welcome Get-together/ Courtesy Call/Turn-over Luncheon at AHS on day one, up to the last official activity (Corregidor group trip). We hope to capture everything specially for those who were not able to make it (abroad and the locals), and get them to relish and feel "as if they were as much as with us!"

Thus, after having reviewed the first edited version (by Edith E. and me), we decided to get a truly professional one to further enhance and do the editing and final production of said video presentation, with no less than a niece of Edith, Chivum, who works with Kodak Philippines at a specially discounted fee (excluding production cost). She quipped, 'basta si Auntie, kasi takot ako sa kanya."

She is at it right now (final editing and 2nd review) prior to production (cost is cheaper if done locally than in US). After which, we will be able to come up with the amount (video-taking, editing, production) for orders of copies.

Hopefully, we will be able to have them ready before Edith and her Mom flies back to the US, particularly for those who wish to order copies from classmates abroad.

You may start placing your order c/o the undersigned and/or Edith by e-mail, subject to confirmation once the cost is arrived at as per Edith's evaluation/ recommendation.

2) Likewise, the photo still-shots of all the activities have already been collated, selected (very similar shots, poor copies, etc. to be properly edited), and classified. These are just about ready for final arrangements ala-album/scrapbook format in CDs, that will very soobn be ready for distribution.

3) The ExeCom is scheduled to meet this coming Tuesday, March 11, to wrap up the following matters, among others:

a) Financial Status Report
b) Awards and Recognition
b) Committee Reports
c) Recommendations

Thereafter, these will be presented to the membership during the General monthly meeting on March 15, Saturday.

We will keep everybody posted by the usual e-mail.

Lita, it is nice to hear that you enjoyed and found our Homecoming/Reunion with all those activities memorable and "a resounding success". We back home are quite elated. You are most welcome.

Indeed, WE ALL "made it happen!".

Cheers!

Alex S.

(PS: Know what, the bonding and the recent memories generated by the series of meetings and activities in the preparation and the subsequent once-in-our- lifetime celebration together with all those around who made it (abroad and locals), have become quite unexpectedly, pretty strong and overwhelmingly intoxicating!

Grabe ang hang-over!

Already, we had several unofficial out-of-the-program activities. Right after the Corregidor trip, Gemo Narvacan hosted a section 1 and Class Officers get-together over an elegant dinner with ala "high-brow" entertainment from the UST College of Music (alumnai ?) performers. this was followed by the Courtesy Call with another dinner thereafter, on Mayor Rico Echiverri of Caloocan (of course Edith's younter brother), who graciously sponsored (arm-twisted by an Ate ?) our first day Luncheon at AHSA and bus rental for the trip to Millie's place for our Welcome dinner thereafter. The group (including those abroad but still around) felt and suggested to Edith that we had to personally express our profound gratitude to the Mayor.

Next was a fiesta-like lunch of sea foods (talaba, tahong, bangus, etc.) hosted by Baby Hugo Espiritu in his bahay-kubo karaoke nook behind their residence in Bacoor, Cavite. The immediate neighborhood must have left their homes to avoid the noise and the out-of-tune/ beat at hopelessly sintonadong classmates present.

We seem to be 'hungry' for more of being together and wouldn't let go as yet. A big group showed up at Lerrie's Birthday party last week keeping the DIs busy and up on their dancing toes and the dancing floor covered and dominated by Class '58 footsteps all over again. Hindi pa nagsawa sa Reunion at Father Blanco's garden. This was followed by another dinner/dance affair to celebrate Edith E.'s grand Mom's birthday party earlier this week.

And more are being lined up which all seem to be for everyone is "just looking for an excuse" to keep on getting together - to no end. No let-up, besides the series of meetings still on schedule, there is an open invitation by Linda San Juan-Anolin for a town fiesta in May for a second trip to her place at Labrador, Pangasinan (we had a terrific 2-day 1-overnight summer outing last year including a Hundred Islands' sidetrip to boot).

A consensus is building up to hold grand Class reunions every three years. Likewise, already, a cruise in the US this time to be organized by classmates abroad for next year is being thrown around even at Corregidor and right after that day among those still around. Seemingly, ayaw at hirap bumitaw kahit pauwi na sila.

Shall we then start preparing for the Diamond Jubilee celebration 10 years from now?

Dear classmates, schoolmates, and friends,

It was indeed very nice to see you all during the AHS Class '58 weeklong golden jubilee celebrations. Had a most wonderful and enjoyable time during what seemingly was a short visit. My heartfelt thanks to the officers and members of AHS Class '58 whose untiring efforts made the whole undertaking a resounding success. Although I wasn't able to join all the activities, I brought back happy memories of the camaraderie and friendship of dear friends of yesteryears.

Thank you again for everything and my warmest and best regards to all you young ladies and gentlemen. You really made it happen ! ! !

Cheers - Lita
